WELCOME from the Acton-Boxborough Regional Parent Teacher Student Organization (ABRPTSO). We are excited to share our news with you and the 500 freshmen at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School and 500 seventh graders at R.J. Grey Junior High.
The goal of the PTSO is to help facilitate communication between the home, school, the School Committee, and our community. We ask that you please take a few minutes to look over the wealth of information we have provided. You might find something interesting on one of the volunteer forms or on the schools' website at http://ab.mec.edu/. If not for volunteers, many of our events would not be possible. Volunteering is a great opportunity for you to meet the parents/guardians of your children's classmates. The monthly newsletter will also offer you an inside glimpse of the schools, updates from various departments and upcoming events. Although parents and guardians are not as closely involved in their older children's school experiences, your help and attention are still essential! It is often said that NOW is the time to pay closest attention to your children, as they are becoming more independent and moving into and through their teens.
Dues are the PTSO's main source of funding and primarily cover the monthly production and mailing of the newsletter, several scholarships and activities, and some funding given to our two principals for needs they feel are top priority at R.J. Grey and ABRHS. Now you can Pay ABRPTSO Membership 2008-2009 Dues Online. If you have already done so, thank you for paying (either on-line or through the mail) your annual PTSO dues of $30 per family.
If you are not currently on the PTSO e-mail list, please sign yourself up here. You may register as many addresses as you like. Some families have added home and work addresses. The list has also been very helpful for parents not living with their children who may miss out on some information. We ask for your child's grade because some messages are only sent to specific groups of students. Privacy is, of course, important to us. We will not sell, rent, or give your name or address to anyone, at any time. Every e-mail we send to you will have a link at the bottom giving you the ability to unsubscribe or change your information.
Welcome, and we hope you have a very successful and rewarding school year!!
Mary Ann Ashton, ABRHS Co-Chair, Jan Couch, RJGJHS Co-Chair, and Chris Renzi, RJGJHS Co-Chair
